Sexual Assault Allegation Discontinued by Service Prosecution Authority Following Representations by Thomas Coke-Smyth

Thomas Coke-Smyth of QEB Hollis Whiteman, working alongside Jessica Maguire of Richardson Lissack, acted for a British Army Captain in relation to an allegation of serious sexual assault investigated by the Defence Serious Crime Unit.

Following a voluntary interview, the defence team submitted detailed and strategic representations to the Service Prosecution Authority (SPA), critically examining the evidence in the case. The SPA subsequently determined that there was no realistic prospect of conviction, and the matter did not proceed to Court Martial.
