SIA v Taylor (2013)

Caoimhe Daly, instructed by Field Fisher Waterhouse on behalf of the Security Industry Authority, successfully prosecuted Ian Taylor for offences of providing unlicensed security guards whilst operating a security company Shadow Protection Services Ltd of which he was a director.  Mr Taylor had illegally supplied an unlicensed door supervisor between 31 December 2010 and 19 November 2011. Mr Taylor was sentenced to a 12 month community order during which he is to undertake 250 hours of unpaid work.  Mr Taylor was also ordered to pay £2,400 contribution towards costs.
