Teen Convicted of New Year's Eve Murder - Case Prosecuted by Jocelyn Ledward KC and Jennifer Newcomb

A teenager has been found guilty at the Old Bailey of murdering 16-year-old Harry Pitman during New Year’s Eve celebrations at Primrose Hill on 31 December 2023.

The jury heard that Mr Pitman was fatally stabbed once in the neck during a brief confrontation in the crowded park as attendees gathered to watch the fireworks display.

Jocelyn Ledward KC and Jennifer Newcomb of QEB Hollis Whiteman outlined how the incident unfolded in moments.

Lloyd-Hall, denied intending to cause serious harm, claiming he believed he had only struck Mr Pitman with the sheath of the knife. The jury rejected this account after reviewing evidence presented – including mobile phone footage of the incident.

Sentencing is due to take place at the Old Bailey on 10 November 2025.
