QEB Hollis Whiteman's Zoe Johnson KC, leading Arabella MacDonald and Tom Orpin-Massey, are prosecuting in the high-profile election betting case concerning former Conservative MP and parliamentary aide Craig Williams.
Mr Williams, who served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the then Prime Minister, pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court to cheating after admitting he used confidential information to place bets on the date of the 2024 General Election before it was publicly announced.
The prosecution forms part of the wider Gambling Commission investigation into alleged betting offences connected to the timing of the election, with several further defendants due to stand trial.
